The Yaskawa CDBR-4045 is a dynamic braking unit designed for use with compatible Yaskawa AC drives in 400 V class motor applications. It manages regenerative energy produced during rapid deceleration or overhauling loads by directing excess DC bus energy to an external braking resistor. The unit supports motor capacities up to 45 kW (60 HP), with a rated discharge current of 18 A and a maximum peak discharge current of 60 A at 10% duty. The CDBR-4045 is suitable for applications requiring improved deceleration performance, including conveyors, hoists, centrifuges, machine tools, and other high-inertia or regenerative drive systems.
