The Siemens SIRIUS 3RM12 is a compact reversing motor starter designed for forward and reverse control of three-phase motors in industrial automation systems. It combines hybrid switching technology with integrated electronic overload protection in a housing only 22.5 mm wide. Depending on the selected variant, the 3RM12 series covers motor current ranges from 0.1 to 7 A and supports motors up to 3 kW at 400 V. Separate control inputs allow the motor direction to be reversed electronically, while the hybrid semiconductor and relay design reduces contact wear and power losses. The series is suitable for conveyors, positioning systems, material handling equipment, and compact machine-control applications.
